Biophilia - the "passionate love of life and all that is alive...
whether in a person, a plant, an idea, or a social group."
- Eric Fromm
Education should be fun and empower all learners to explore a life-long journey of curiosity and exploration.
People have a vast range of interests and abilities and the world needs everyone, to be the best they can be, to sustain a good life and enrich our global community.
To create a sustainable existence we need to build healthy relationships with ourselves, others, the things we use and our planet.
We have formed an alliance with selected schools globally. These schools are currently delivering our DVLS curriculum. Get in contact if you are a school, home ed hub or a teacher that would like to find out more about delivering our content.
We have a small BE Learning Hub south of Cambridge, UK. A small independent middle school, for 10 - 14 year olds. We currently offer three days a week, and hope to expand to a 5 day a week school in 2024, with an eventual expansion to a high school for 14 - 18 year olds.
We offer a range of flexible programmes for home-educated learners to attend one to three days a week.
We provide a transdisciplinary, project-based Biophilic Education (BE) Mentor Development program for teachers wishing to deliver our DVLS curriculum in licensed schools.
We are creating a new way of delivering the standard UK curriculum and a new model for assessment, to demonstrate what an outstanding school of the future could look like, to effect positive systemic change.
Our BE Foundation is working with universities to research the efficacy of our pedagogy and curriculum, for continuous refinement and development. The future vision is for our 1-5 Da Vinci Life-Skills project pathways and 5 DVQs (Da Vinci Qualifications) to be delivered, or inspire teaching, in all schools.
Community and collaboration are at the heart of our philosophy. We are working with local businesses to create real-world projects and apprenticeships.
Our community centre vision for schools of the future is to develop artisan workshops, co-work spaces and a cafe/shop, to blend learning with enterprise and initiative.
We encourage families to connect at school family breakfasts, a student run farmers market and a local Community Supported Agriculture schemes (CSA).
